Status Update 2/11/20

Hey friends,

Sorry for the radio silence as of late. I've been recovering from surgery and fallen behind on a lot of things, but I'm mostly back to my baseline now. I just wanted to pop in and give everyone a quick update on where I am with projects.

There will be more regular tales posted here and on NoSleep, but I'm focusing on finishing the book first.

Speaking of, Volume Three of Tales is nearing completion. I'm extremely proud of the shape it's taken. This story will answer a lot of lingering questions and tie up the doppelgangers story arc. It's also packed with tons of new material. Right now I'm working on trimming it down because it's still a little longer than I originally planned.

I'm also taking part in the upcoming NoSleep author collaboration project, "Twenty-Six Cards." I'm not sure how much I'm supposed to say about this yet, but without giving too much away: A big group of awesomely talented authors (and also me) have come together to create a story surrounding the seedy, sexy, dangerous underground of Las Vegas. It's a crime-noir thriller written a chapter at a time (each by a different author), spinning a web of interconnected tales. There are murderers and lost souls, beautiful dames and mob bosses, and enough action and violence to make Tarantino say "Okay, that's probably enough." I'll be releasing details as soon as I have them.

There's also that super-secret gas station project that's in the works. I can't say much yet, but I can say it's coming along fast, it's exceeding my wildest expectations, and I can't wait to share it with you guys!

Lastly, I'm really looking forward to Texas Frightmare Weekend this May in Dallas. Last year, I got to meet Bruce Campbell and watch an early screening for Velocipastor (highly recommend). Hoping this year can compete. Anyone else going?

-Jack
