Okay so, I have been listening to tales from the gas station on repeat for the past few weeks now. Even the first time I listened, I realised a lot (AND I MEAN MANY) my autistic traits in Jack! From the social ineptness, inability to detect most sarcasm, no understanding of many social norms, involuntary word vomit, being rude when not meaning to, being way too blunt or way too soft, and there are many more that I can't be bothered to type out. Not to mention the many times in the book Jack is referred to by the r slur (r*tarded), which is a very common phrased used to demean autistic people. So I was wondering, is Jack cannonly autistic? ^^
