Unfortunately, the first three books are tied up in Audible's notoriously blue-tapey seven-year exclusivity contracts. However, I'm moving in a new direction with future books. The audiobook for Bedside Manor has a wide distribution, and can be found anywhere audiobooks are sold.

I've been writing stories since I was old enough to string sentences together. Fortunately, most of my early work has been lost in the sands of time. Child Jack was not the best storyteller. My heart was in the right place, but the skill had a lot of catching up to do.

It's quasi-canon. It exists in a version of the TftGS universe, but doesn't really have any effect on it.

Yep. This is exactly what happened. Bedside Manor was planned out to have a lot of different mutually exclusive storylines, but didn't quite work out as an old-fashioned CYOA story. There were a few plot threads left on the cutting room floor, and several completely different endings.

In order to avoid spoilers, let me just say this: I have plans to continue writing, and the story I began way back with Volume One is set to conclude with Volume Four.

Yes, the audiobooks contain a reworked version of the material MCP has narrated, but they are mostly new material.

You are absolutely entitled to be bothered. This story was a huge departure from my normal storytelling. It was an experiment of sorts. Neither ending is necessarily "right" or "wrong." I intended to leave it up to the reader. Whichever you prefer. If you want, both can be correct. Or if you didn't care for them, neither. Whatever you decide, thank you for playing.

@TheGlompMeGuy Considering you already translated it the hard way, I suppose there's no harm in telling you that there was a much easier way to find the English translation. All you had to do was click the Chinese text and it would have auto-translated. :-) Still, seeing everything you guys are doing is very impressive.

I do batches of signed copies periodically and sell them directly from the blog store. It's just easier for me to do a bunch all at once. I'm not sure when I'll be doing another batch (Covid has really destroyed any semblance of an actual routine I had), although I'll probably be getting another batch ready in time for Christmas. I'll be sure to make an announcement on the blog in advance of the signed copies.
