I think of motivation a bit like a muscle. You have to work it out regularly to keep it from atrophying, but sometimes you need to take time to let it heal. My recommendation is that you set some amount of time aside every single day, even if it's only five minutes, to work on the project. The more you do that, the easier it becomes to get into the mindset.

Unfortunately, the first three books are tied up in Audible's notoriously blue-tapey seven-year exclusivity contracts. However, I'm moving in a new direction with future books. The audiobook for Bedside Manor has a wide distribution, and can be found anywhere audiobooks are sold.

Thanks for asking. I've got several projects in the works right now. There are a couple related to the gas station universe that I can't discuss quite yet (but hopefully soon). Volume Four will conclude the storyline I started with Tales from the Gas Station: Volume One. This does not mean I won't continue updating the blog with the occasional one-off short story. I'm also not ruling out the possibility of revisiting the series somewhere down the line *IF* I have a story worth telling. However, there is another book idea that I started many years ago, before I ever even began writing TftGS, that's been taking up a lot of space in my mind. I'd like to revisit that and finally scratch it off my bucket list before moving on to any other novels. I'm also helping to produce a radio play podcast with a group of extremely talented individuals. More details will be forthcoming as soon as I have them.

I've been writing stories since I was old enough to string sentences together. Fortunately, most of my early work has been lost in the sands of time. Child Jack was not the best storyteller. My heart was in the right place, but the skill had a lot of catching up to do.

Hi Cierra, This last year has taught me to be very careful with plans. Right now, my schedule is more like Jazz music, I have a general idea of what I want, but I'm going to make it up as I go and be happy with the end result. Artistically speaking, I have several projects going on at the moment. The only one of which I can talk about right now is Volume Four of Tales from the Gas Station, which *should* be released this year, As for other plans, many depend heavily on the state of the world. Covid-19 is still doing a number on us, but if the vaccine rollout is a success, we might finally get to do a convention circuit or a book tour! It is possible. Several people have requested something like this. However, if I do anything with the side stories, it won't be until after Volume Four, which is my current priority.

There is nearly a 100 percent chance of a Volume Four to wrap up the story that was started in Volume One. Beyond that, who knows? Anything is possible. :-)

Yep. This is exactly what happened. Bedside Manor was planned out to have a lot of different mutually exclusive storylines, but didn't quite work out as an old-fashioned CYOA story. There were a few plot threads left on the cutting room floor, and several completely different endings.

In order to avoid spoilers, let me just say this: I have plans to continue writing, and the story I began way back with Volume One is set to conclude with Volume Four.

Yes, the audiobooks contain a reworked version of the material MCP has narrated, but they are mostly new material.
