One year ago today, Mr. Creepypasta and I released "Tales from the Gas Station: Volume Two" on audiobook. Ever since then, people have wanted to know when they can expect the release of Volume Three.
The short answer is this: We still don't really know.
But I wanted to offer an update of sorts. The book has been recorded. It sounds great. It's about 14 and a half hours long, and we cannot wait to share it with you.
Unfortunately, as anyone who has been alive in 2020 can tell you, these are strange times we're living in. Plans bend and break at the whim of the universe. A global pandemic has forced us to abandon our old sense of normal. And things that were once simple enough to take for granted are now requiring patience when patience is running threadbare.
The good news is that Audible--the parent company for our audiobook distribution--has already approved our book for sale back in October. Now it's in the hands of a bunch of grossly overworked (and underappreciated) folks behind-the-scenes doing post-production stuff (that I don't fully understand) to make it available as soon as possible.
I know I've said this plenty of times before, but I honestly believe we're in the final stretch of the waiting process. Nobody wants the book to be available more than MCP and myself. Hopefully, very soon, it will be ready. And when it is, I really hope you like it.
Thanks for all of your patience.
Love y'all.
-Jack
Well I just bought the third volume on Audible so she's out and ready for grabs buddy! Thank goodness I have been saving my credits up bcuz I'm broke hahaha
Jack I’m a huge fan of yours i love all aspects of your writing. The lore and world building are so much fun intriguing and entertaining. I’ve been seeing a lot of Copycat stories that are clearly inspired by your work and the one person who tried to force a crossover before you made him change his story lol. I have a question have you pitched your series to Netflix or anyone else? the world you’ve created would be perfect as a live action show or even a animated series on adult swim or something like that, that way we Could still get MCP voicing jack Jerry And the rest of the gang. I just don’t see how some show's…
I bought the digital version on the Google Play Store but unfortunately I don't have a much time to read I haven't even made it a chapter in yet which is why I'm still waiting on the audible book so that I can listen to it and work at the same time
Hello Jack, I just want to let you know you inspire me, the exploration of your ideas through narrative have not only deeply excited me over and over but have reignited the flame of my creative process multiple times over the last couple of years, and I'm insanely thankful for that. Can't wait for part 3 to become available on audio because I can't imagine something I'd rather do on a late night ride more than listening to it. Ps: that was a lie, i can most definitely wait, I just wish I didn't have to.
It's alright jack. I got restless and bought the paper back. Havent started it but I cannot wait for the audiobook.
