Not sure how useful this might might be but after noticing "NPC the Fourth" I have to wonder if it's "the players' fourth time through the game" (you know, after a massive "YOU DIED" shows up behind their eyeballs all Dark Souls style.)The only thing that sort of breaks this is the time NPC doesn't refer to himself as a number at all (therefore assuming he's the first) but Jack has a conversation with him as though it weren't the first time he'd seen him.Unless Jack really IS psychic ^o^Seems odd though that in *this* edition he knows Claire.... (perhaps it's snippets of alternate universes?)
I feel like there's such a good chance that it's the Yellow Wallpaper but I can't get it to work 😩 I don't know if I'm doing it wrong or if I should just leave it alone. I also tried going through parts of Bedside Manor as mentioned previously, like where the sisters are introduced along with the two times someone has been in the room and Jack was unaware, etc and I got nothing, ya'll. Just wanted to share for everyone else who feels like they're running in circles.
YES YES YES that’s what I was trying for but with letters rather than words. Might be words but then that’s like an 8 word password so less likely. I wasn’t sure which part of the story it might be from but I suspected it might have been when we first saw the sisters (like the double picture?) or something like that.
I'm currently trying to figure out if there's something with the graph points theory, maybe the points graphed out and over layed on an image or something like a Vigenere cipher.
I'm most definitely about to end up with pages taped to a wall with strings linking everything together before this series is over
I’ll go back and recheck my work on the Bedside Manor parts and see if that change makes things make sense, buuut I won’t be able to until I get off of work this evening, so if someone wants to check it out before then feel free.
No worries, Jack! Shit happens. Thank you for letting us know!Now... off to retry some of these and hope that we were on the right track! (Or that someone much smarter than me can figure it out, heheh.)
Hey everyone! I'm really embarrassed about this, but it has come to my attention that the most recent puzzle contains a minor typo... I apologize for the headache this has inevitably caused. It has since been updated, but for those who may have already seen it, the numerical series: {3,2 2,3 14,7 8,6 6,1 12,1 38,1 12,4} was supposed to actually be: {3,2 3,3 14,7 8,6 6,1 12,1 38,1 12,4}.
Again, my apologies. I'm off to hang my head in shame.
I tried out part 3 (lines and paragraphs again) to see if maybe the picture of the two meant the first time we saw Claire and Lauren but that didn't lead anywhere either.
Edit#1: I've tried all of the parts just to see if any of them made sense aaaand nothing worked out. Unless I botched the counting which is entirely possible. I also tried out the "double" text (that was deciphered from part 4's clues) and that doesn't have enough lines to work out either.
I'll go back and double check my work, and also try unscrambling the letters to see if any of them make a word, but beyond that I'm afraid I'm out of ideas... for now.
Edit#2: Only one word was able to use all eight letters to make a word and it didn't work either.
Tried using part 6 (both lines and paragraphs) to decode and that didn't work. (was nonsense, nothing really to unscramble to make sense either. Perhaps its a different part? Something to do with this "double"?
The numbers are inside {} brackets, which I've only seen used in syntax code, poetry and music. Is there some kind of poem related to The Yellow Wallpaper that I'm missing? The way the numbers are formatted just looks so familiar to me but I can't figure out why.
@kmmgemini I checked out two different versions of it as well, neither of them gave good results. One of them had set pages (so it didn't matter the page size, the lines would still be the same) and the other didn't so I didn't use it because it would be inconsistent. I thought the same of the blog's stories too but it doesn't seem to change depending on the webpage's size (at least in google chrome on the pc, might be different on mobile).
I considered checking out the Dreams in the Witch House, since that's *sort of* what the Mansion of Madness Arkham Horror game is based off of, since that's the only book title we've gotten from the story so far, but I feel like that may be a bit of a stretch.
@Hillary H The only one I could think of was the Ottendorf cipher, but now that I look at it that one is usually formatted like ##-#-#, but that's also "page number-line-word" now that I really look at it.
First off; @kmmgemini - Good call about Nathanial being an NPC. You get a silver star! (I say silver because I figure Jack's the only one who can give away the gold stars. 😁)
Second - it's too damn early for me to be awake but here I am poking around at the, ah, "poker"......... heh heh.
click the picture on poker like really spam it and it well give u a QR CODE to scan it well take u to doubles were it gives u some numbers and if click on the picture on that page it ask for a password with I'm guessing are the numbers decode
Sorry guys I didn't get the notification for the last two posts, so i missed part 6 decripting, but you all did an amazing job!
The secret scene thoug... same characters (except for Loren?) different backgrounds...

@Jack Townsend is there any chance chance of finding out how many puzzles we have all solved
WOOHOOO, I got it! The password is Remember!
I included notes for anyone interested. :D

@Danilo v thank you for giving it a shot!
Just throwing this out there- maybe they're graph points?

(Also RIP Jerry - this gives me a small hope that I don't trust toward other events.)
