On "the Basalisk Stare", it takes you to a real life, well publicized newspaper photo about Agatha Christie's dissappearance (more or less that her husband started seeing another woman, which caused her to have a nervous breakdown and forget who he was for a weekend before she was found vibin at a health spaw). I'm not sure what to make of this, the page name and photo file don't seem to hold much in the way of clues so far, and the title is a turn of phrase she uses more than once across a handful of novels, meaning a stare that causes another to freeze (like what happened to Jack), or already being turned to stone without your knowing consent. I'm not sure what this means, especially with the cricket audio, or the code written beneath it that I haven't seen anybody talk about yet, but there's something here...
