As for what makes for good writing, there are many different answers. Some people think that the best way to write well is to be as formal and starchy as possible found here like a Victorian novel. Others think that being informal, even colloquial or slangy, is much more natural and effective. There are also those who think that it doesn't matter too much how you write; all that matters is what you say.
